CASUAL ROLE - NORTH SYDNEY

Rockstar Memoirs is a media company which helps groups of people capture and celebrate the experiences of their community. We're part of the Rockstar Group, with sister companies being Trellum Jewellery, and The Distillery Letterpress & Design.

We are seeking the services of an Operations Assistant to help our business operate and grow.

This role is ideal for someone who would love to be an integral part of a successful thriving small business. The Director will provide priceless training and mentoring, and focus on helping you grow as a young professional.

In this role, you would be in the centre of Rockstar's action, and learn a tremendous amount about how business works in the real world.

Responsibilities

The role involves a diverse and interesting mix of activities including:

  • pre-press processing (turning files into PDF)
  • general assistance to the Director
  • accounting and book-keeping
  • filming and producing videos of yearbook reviews
  • business development and research
  • working on special projects

Suitability

Rockstar Memoirs is a young, fun and focused team. The oldest person in our team is 30 (The Director). You'd need fit in with our team culture, and also possess:

  • absolutely meticulous attention to detail
  • extreme patience
  • strong streaks of being a perfectionist
  • confident computer skills and knowledge

Availability

Ideally, you would be completing your tertiary studies and have 18 - 32 hours availability each week to work from our North Sydney studio, until December 2011.

Our work will get progressively busier until December 2011, at which point we would re-asses your availability and our circumstances.

Benefits

Remuneration is $20/hour. Rockstar is flexible around your study commitments, and your hours can be tailored to suit your assessments and exams.
